Our Pilates instructors come from the highly sought after Kane School of Core Integration. The Kane School in NYC is an elite training program combining classic Pilates principals with a clinical approach resulting in a therapeutic and strengthening outcome. This type of Pilates, on the mat or apparatus, focuses on detailed biomechanics and hands on cues that safely give the body the “blueprint” for anatomical neutral which will essentially help you maintain good posture.
We have observed outstanding results from the combination of Structural Therapy and Pilates. The benefits of the manual therapy will be sustained through the reeducation of postural alignment through Pilates. Exercises are tailored to the individual based on their measurements from their posture analysis so they are not strengthening what is already strong and inhibiting what is already weak. Exercises are hands on to ensure the correct alignment of the body does not waiver. This key element allows exercise to be safe and effective for each individual.
We are passionate about reeducating the body back to its neutral state. This is only possible through discovering the often misunderstood “core”. We wake up the body’s postural system by discovering the muscles of the inner unit (transverse abdominals, pelvic floor, multifidus, and diaphragm). We use Pilates to train our clients that the inner most core, or inner unit, is where all movement derives.
Our facility allows for a multi-disciplinary team approach for our clients’ wellbeing. It allows our specialists the ability to oversee all the stages of rehabilitation as we walk you safely through the steps of repatterning your body back to optimal wellness. You may be given a self-care program tailored to your individual needs to help you progress more quickly. Our multidisciplinary, highly trained team may also offer techniques in gait analysis, Yoga, Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Activation Technique, Alexander Technique, The Feldenkrais Method, TRX, and the Schroth Method of Scoliosis.
