Structural Therapy

At Body Center St. Pete, we specialize in a form of Structural Therapy called Neurosomatic Therapy—a unique technique developed by Paul St. John. This approach blends soft tissue release with a deep understanding of how your body’s alignment directly affects its overall function.

We start with a comprehensive postural analysis, carefully measuring key body landmarks and charting your structure to uncover any imbalances. This includes assessing the atlas and axis, the spine, the relationship between the cranium and pelvis, your gait, and the dominant myofascial sling patterns in your body. We also gather your health history to better understand the root causes of any compensatory patterns.

Our treatments target muscle and fascial tension, addressing painful trigger points and discomfort. By releasing these tensions, we help unwind compensations and restore balance to your body. The result is improved posture, which enhances your body’s function, increases mobility, promotes better breathing, and supports overall well-being.

The ultimate goal of Structural Therapy is to achieve symmetry and balance in your posture. This not only prevents excessive wear and tear on your joints, cartilage, and discs but also helps reduce pain by eliminating the compensatory patterns that can develop from even small misalignments. Various factors—such as past injuries, dental work, digestive issues, or emotional stress—can contribute to these imbalances, leading to pain and discomfort throughout the body.

At Body Center St. Pete, we are dedicated to helping you move with ease, reduce pain, and regain balance through our customized Structural Therapy treatments. Whether you are managing chronic conditions or recovering from an injury, our goal is to provide lasting relief and enhance your overall quality of life.
