Delfina Bonilla-Lopez, LMT, CNS, RYT-200, YTU, CPT, is a passionate bodywork specialist and dedicated advocate for the body’s innate capacity for restoration. With a lifelong love of athleticism and movement, Delfina is committed to helping her clients rediscover their body’s natural potential through Neurosomatic Therapy, corrective exercise, and a range of holistic techniques.
Delfina earned her BA in Spanish Literature & Musicology from the University of Michigan in 2009, but it was her personal journey of overcoming the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle that ignited her curiosity about the body’s ability to recover and thrive. This experience led her to pursue a career as a Personal Trainer, where she found her passion in helping clients with corrective exercise, posture, and movement therapy.
Her journey continued in 2010 when she completed her first yoga teacher training with YogaFit®, focusing on restorative yoga, flow yoga, and making yoga accessible to all. Delfina then deepened her understanding of movement and body mechanics through Yoga Tune Up®, studying under founder Jill Miller. These experiences shaped her movement philosophy, blending strength & conditioning, yoga, corrective exercise, functional movement, and self-massage to help clients address issues in their tissues and improve overall movement patterns.
In 2019, Delfina’s passion for corrective therapies led her to the Center for Neurosomatic Studies (CNS) in Clearwater, FL, where she became skilled in Neurosomatic Therapy. After personally overcoming a 10-year battle with chronic chest pain, Delfina was inspired by the transformative potential of Neurosomatic Therapy. At CNS, she learned to use an 84-point posturology assessment to identify patterns of overuse, underuse, and misuse at the root of pain and discomfort. She combines this precise manual therapy with corrective exercises to help clients release tension, reprogram new pain-free movement patterns, and reclaim their bodies.
Delfina is also expanding her expertise by learning the principles of the Schroth Method for Scoliosis, inspired by her fascination with Structural Therapy and her work alongside Shila Tirabassi LaGrua, the founder of Body Center St Pete. She is dedicated to using these advanced techniques to help clients correct posture, alleviate pain, and improve overall alignment.
Delfina’s mission is to help clients recognize their bodies as brilliant, self-restoring systems capable of profound transformation. Whether through Neurosomatic Therapy, corrective exercises, or self-massage, Delfina is passionate about empowering her clients to feel confident, pain-free, and strong in their bodies.
When not in the studio, Delfina enjoys spending time with her two sons, exploring the beach, playing piano, experimenting with recipes, and diving into the world of personal development. She’s also an avid fan of fantasy, magic, and everything in the realm of dragons and hobbits.
Shila’s journey into the healing arts began with a deep passion for movement as an internationally touring professional modern dancer.
